Spoiler alert: The following reveals major plot points from Tuesday's episode of The Good Wife.
Alicia (Julianna Margulies) thought she had bad timing last season on The Good Wife, but things went from bad to worse on Tuesday's episode.
Just as Alicia ? and the rest of Cook County ? learned that Peter (Chris Noth) had officially won his old job back as state's attorney and moved on from his past indiscretions, his wife was sent right back to where it all began thanks to investigator Wiley.

Two weeks ago viewers learned about Peter's affair with Kalinda (Archie Panjabi), which clearly was destined to hurt Alicia sooner rather than later this season. However, when Wiley informed her of Peter's affair with an old co-worker at the campaign party, he triumphantly told her he had figured out it was nothing more than a rumor. Unless, that is, Alicia knows of someone named Leila. "Have you heard of her? Leila?"
The question allowed for a complete full circle from earlier this season, when fans first learned of Kalinda's former identity, and also made Alicia's discovery that much more dramatic. She slowly walked out the door ? ironically as Florrick supporters started singing "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow" ? and left the party with tears in her eyes. The scene was equally frustrating and heartbreaking. One minute she was enjoying her husband's success and the new chapter ahead, and the next ? well, only the next new episode will tell where she goes from here.

While the reveal brought Kalinda's past full circle, it obviously opens up a completely new chapter for the series. In the episode, many on the campaign speculated that a big part of Peter's success was from Alicia's last-minute press interview, so how will he successfully run for U.S. Senate (as Eli discussed) without her support? Even worse, fans can say goodbye to those heartwarming bonding scenes between Alicia and Kalinda for a long, long time (insert moment of silence here).
