Natalie Portman won the best-actress Oscar for her performance as a troubled ballerina in Black Swan.

Natalie Portman won an Oscar for her portrayal of Nina, an ambitious ballerina in the New York City Ballet who is given a chance to replace the prima ballerina (Winona Ryder) in Swan Lake. Her rival is another young dancer (Mila Kunis) with whom she develops a twisted friendship in this intense psychological thriller. The pressure of having to play both the White Swan and the Black Swan, along with the nitpicking of her mother (Barbara Hershey), sends the obsessive Nina headlong into a breakdown. Extras include behind-the-scenes looks at director Darren Aronofsky's filmmaking process, the costume and production design and commentary by Aronofsky and Portman.
