Scotty McCreery may sound like a natural born country singer, but we learned last night from where this 17-year old's deep voice actually comes:

He grew up impersonating Elvis.

"Kids thought I was weird," Scotty said in his introductory video, prior to performing his second Travis Tritt track of the competition, the 1993 hit "Can I Trust You With My Heart."

Hitting a high note to close the rendition, McCreery took the judges by surprise, as Jennifer Lopez exclaimed: "You pushed it up! That made me go, 'What?!'"
