Actress Lindsay Lohan has started serving her jail sentence at home.
Lindsay Lohan was ordered to three years probation, 120 days in jail, as well as 480 hours of community service for getting a five-finger discount on a necklace.
Lohan surrendered to authorities at Lynwood Jail in Los Angeles around 5 a.m. this morning and learned she was eligible to serve her time at home.� The actress was fitted with her electronic ankle bracelet and released.
The troubled actress is currently at her home in Venice, California, but cannot leave until June 29.
Los Angeles Sheriff?s spokesman Steve Whitmore revealed, ?She is now confined to the interior premises of her home at all times.?
The home detention helps reduce the prison population by letting non-violent offenders serve their sentence out at home.
Linds actually had until June 17 to surrender and being her jail time but wanted to get it over with so she can begin shooting the movie ?Gotti: Three Generations?.
