Arnold Schwarzenegger is bidding hasta la vista to some of his Hollywood comeback projects.LOS ANGELES - The Arnold Schwarzenegger projects are being terminated one by one.
The two-timer's animated "Governator" TV series bit the dust Friday, and he won't be appearing at the grand opening of Universal Studios Singapore next week, sources told the Daily News.
A source close to Schwarzenegger said the theme park gig cancellation was his choice and not a case of his business partners getting cold feet because of the love-child scandal.
"He was not disinvited. He called them on Tuesday to say he did not want to travel to Asia," the source said. "His focus is not on himself. From his standpoint, it's not about him anymore. It's about his family."
A source told the Los Angeles Times that producers pulled the plug on the "Governator" series before Schwarzenegger announced he was putting his career on hold.
Schwarzenegger, 63, was supposed to play an action hero with a double life in the series - maybe a bit too ironic for a man with a secret son.
He revealed this week that after leaving the California governor's office, he admitted to wife Maria Shriver that he knocked up their maid almost 14 years ago.
The news broke Tuesday, and Shriver had only hours notice that she was about to be engulfed in scandal.
"She knew that it was coming out the day before," said Gayle King, 54, who had dinner with Shriver and Oprah Winfrey Monday.
"She had gotten a call about it but she knew before she came to dinner," King said on Bravo.
Shriver's four kids are said to be rallying around her and trying to stay out of the spotlight. Eldest daughter Katherine, 21, is reportedly furious.
"Katherine is really upset about this and how her mom is right now," a family source told Us Magazine. "It's tense ... Everyone feels betrayed and embarrassed that it's out in the open. Not for their dad's sake but for Maria." With Tori Richards
