The 'Just Go With It' star, 42, has other things on her mind, according to Us, and in a cover story for the May issue of U.K. magazine Red, Aniston says that with her full film slate, she's "elated" to find herself "in an exciting period."
With a history of making headlines for past romances with John Mayer, Vince Vaughn and ex-husband Brad Pitt, Aniston is adamant that being both single and famous gets "ridiculous."
"No, I'm not a big fan of dating," she admits. But she says it's a "no-brainer" that she'd choose "the love of my life" over an amazing career, if forced to choose between the two. Not that she thinks one should: "You have to have a balance in life," she explains. "You also have to have your own personal love: what inspires you, what excites you when you wake up in the morning."
A fan of beach getaways ("I love the sound of the ocean") and soft, cozy surroundings at home ("I'm a pillow girl. [I] create the closest thing to a cloud that I can"), she explains the comfort she finds in her treasured circle of confidantes.
"Where would you be without friends?" she says, remaining true to the spirit of the sitcom that first made her a star. "Where would you be without people to pick you up when you need lifting? As we know, myself and a lot of my friends, we've come from homes that were far from perfect, so you end up almost parent and sibling to your friends, and vice versa. Your own chosen family. There's nothing like a really loyal, dependable, good friend. Nothing."
Rather than single out a best friend (many assume it's 'Friends' co-star Courteney Cox), Aniston is diplomatic: "So many...I couldn't do that! I'll say 'me.'"
