Shirley MacLaine reveals her racy past in her book, 'I'm Over All That: And Other Confessions.'

Don't let the age fool you! Shirley MacLaine may be 76, but she's had her fair share of Hollywood hookups that would make today's younger generation blush.

The veteran actress, who has been busy promoting her 12th book, "I'm Over All That: And Other Confessions," managed to shock audience members when she revealed risqu details of her sex life during an appearance on Monday's "The Oprah Winfrey Show."

Admitting she's had "an awful lot of lovers" in her past, the actress confessed to once bedding three men in one day.

"I wasn't into ?sexcapades,' although I tried it once," she said. "I had three people in one day. It was on a political campaign, where everybody was doing the same thing [and] I just didn't wanna be left out. It was not my style at all; I'm a serial monogamist."

Though married for 30 years to businessman Steve Parker before splitting in 1982, MacLaine said she doesn't consider herself a faithful spouse.

The actress isn't fond of the institution of marriage, and because of that, she had a special agreement with Parker.

"I had affairs and so did he, but we were very good friends," she revealed. "I loved the freedom and so did he. I've had an awful lot of lovers ... and a lot of awful lovers."

Among the men who made the cut, MacLaine named actor Robert Mitchum and French movie star Yves Montand as her previous suitors.

CELEBS WHO HAVE A PROBLEM SPILLING TOO MANY SECRETS

But while she often fell for her leading men, the actress said there were a couple A-listers who did nothing for her.

Jack Lemmon, MacLaine's co-star in 1960's "The Apartment," was apparently too nice for her taste.

"He was a sweetheart. He was like my Aunt Rose," she said. "He didn't have that dangerous, complicated, sexual dominating confusion that I liked helping the men I was attracted to, figure out."

Legendary ladies man Jack Nicholson also failed to attract the actress.

"Too much for me! No, he's too much," she said about her "Terms of Endearment" co-star. "I guess I liked the dangerous chemistry if it was controllable. His isn't! He is authentically dangerous."

Nowadays, according to USA Today, MacLaine seems content to live alone with her 11-year-old rat terrier, Terry.

"I'd rather have a good, funny, loyal dog than a man," she wrote in her new book.
