NoHo man struck, killed by taxi in Hollywood

HOLLYWOOD - A 27-year-old from North Hollywood was struck and killed by a taxi Monday in Hollywood, authorities said.

Daniel Don Curtis died at the scene of the accident, Highland Avenue, south of Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles police Sgt. Monte Houze of the West Traffic Division said.

The accident occurred shortly before 5 a.m.

Highland Avenue was closed between Sunset and Hollywood boulevards while an investigation was conducted. The closure was continuing about three hours after the accident, Houze said.
