The Huffington Post's Sam Stein appeared Wednesday night on 'The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell' to discuss the ongoing budget talks in Congress and the potential of a government shutdown.
He described Speaker of the House John Boehner's dilemma in the negotiations: "On the one hand, yeah, he has a caucus filled with rambunctious Tea Party members who want to have a fight, and on the other hand he has the prospects of a government shutdown should he not actually compromise with Democratic members in the House."
Stein went on to explain that Republicans "don't in the end want to be blamed for the government being shut down."
