The queen of talk has spoken: the final original episode of 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' will air Wednesday, May 25, the Associated Press reported. The talk show host's production company, Harpo Productions, confirmed the date Friday. No word on who her final guest will be.

Though the show has been in reruns the past few weeks, Winfrey Tweeted on Thursday that she was "hard at work planning the final shows." She also said new episodes would begin airing April 7.

Winfrey shared her decision to end her show after 25 years with viewers last November. It was prayer and careful thought that helped her decide, she said. "I love this show. This show has been my life. And I know when it's time to say goodbye."

"Twenty-five years feels right in my bones and feels right in my spirit."

After her final show, Winfrey will turn her focus and attention to her new cable network, OWN (The Oprah Winfrey Network.)
